Franklin Pediatric & Adolescent Care

Franklin, MA 02038
At Franklin Pediatric & Adolescent Care, we specialize in the care of children from birth through adolescence. The mission of our entire staff is to know you child personally and to build a strong relationship with your whole family. The care that we give in this office includes both well-child care and the treatment of acute illnesses. Well-child care encompasses regular physical exams, immunizations and the monitoring of your child’s growth and development. During routine office visits, you are free to discuss your concerns about nutrition, behavior, safety, school performance or other issues.
As children grow and enter adolescence, their health needs change. Teenagers who come to Franklin Pediatric & Adolescent Care will feel comfortable knowing that our doctors and our nurse practitioner care about them and understand their unique concerns.

Scheduling an Appointment
You can schedule a well-child visit in advance by calling 508-541-8000 during office hours.
If your child is ill, please try to call between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. to talk with one of our nurses. They will help you book an appointment or get in touch with your doctor, if necessary.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us 24 hours notice so that we may schedule that time with another patient. If we do not receive notification, a no-show charge may be billed to your account.
Choosing a pediatrician for your new baby is an important decision and should be made before your child’s birth. To help you with this choice, we conduct a monthly “Meet the Practice” session each month. Soon-to-be parents can come to informally meet one of our practitioners and our office staff and ask questions. Call us to find out about our next “Meet the Practice.”
Urgent Care, After Hours, and Emergencies
We encourage our parents and patients to call during office hours so that we have access to your medical record. However, we are available after hours for emergency calls and can be reached by calling 508-541-8000. Our on-call doctor will call you back shortly after you leave your message. At Community Pediatrics of Milford (229 East Main Street, Milford), Sunday urgent hours are available to Tri-County Pediatric Patients. You must call the on-call provider and they will determine if the patient needs to be seen for Sunday hours. In a life threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
To renew your child’s prescription, call our office and leave a message on the prescription refill phone line. Be sure to allow at least 48 hours for a prescription refill. Sometimes a prescription refill request appears simple, but may require an examination or new instructions. In these cases, we may request that a doctor see your child before we renew the prescription.
When your child needs to see a specialist and your insurance requires a referral from your pediatrician, please call our office at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment with the specialist. This will allow us sufficient time to process the referral.
We are providers for most medical insurance plans. Because there are a wide variety of insurance options, please contact your insurance company directly to make sure your doctor accepts your plan.
If you are insured, please remember to bring your insurance card with you when you visit our office. We must validate your insurance at each visit. Your co-payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Our primary hospital is Milford Regional Medical Center. Patients are referred to other specialty hospitals as needed.
